RAWALPINDI: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), media arm of the Pakistan Army, on Thursday said it was incumbent upon the Election Commission to conduct election, however, the army would ensure peace during the upcoming election in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, Samaa reported.
The civil administration has sought army’s help in maintaining peace during the local bodies election in four sensitive districts.
Contingent of army, Rangers and police conducted a flag march in Faisalabad, reviewing entry and exit points of the city.
It is learnt that four companies of the Pakistan army and 300 personnel of the Rangers would discharge duties on Election day in Faisalabad.-Samaa
